Ellen Yang writes about Gen Z’s relationship with technology, community, and culture. She is curious about what today’s social media trends say about our past, present, and future. She is currently working on a YA novel about suicide clusters and blogging.
Since founding a digital marketing agency at age 15, she has worked with over forty companies, crafting exciting and meaningful brand identities and developing viral social media campaigns viewed by millions. She has led marketing at multiple Silicon Valley startups, specifically in artificial intelligence consumer products. She has been named Boston’s 25 Under 25, a Stanford Humanities Research Intensive Fellow and finalist for the Stanford Boothe Writing Prize. She is an editor for Stanford’s undergraduate journal of literature, Caesura, and The Stanford Daily.
She is deeply interested in language as both an art and science and is currently pursuing two B.A.s in English and Linguistics at Stanford University. She was raised in Boston, MA.
